About 40 members of the Modi'in Cultural Center theater workshop staged a musical about the reality behind the scenes of the New York Academy for the Performing Arts. Galit Giat, famous Israeli actor and singer, starred in the leading role of the admired teacher and choreographer. The legendary and beloved hits of the original score of Fame were re-arranged for the Hebrew version. The cut-throat competition over the part in a prime-time TV show turns into an amazing friendship following a distressing accident, and changes the lives of everyone involved. By means of an inspiring story, the musical celebrates the triumph of the human spirit and the importance of friendship and love.
The gala evening was held under the auspices of Friends of Schneider Children’s at the Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut Cultural Center in cooperation with the Einan Hall at the Azrieli Mall. Proceeds were dedicated to the Hemato-Oncology Department at Schneider hospital.
