The sky is the limit, we say, when we get to fundraising activities. Two sponsored swimming events and one sponsored 10 km. run were private initiatives aiming to benefit the children treated at Schneider Medical Center.
10 year old Sabrina Miller with her sister Jasmine, organised a sponsored swim. 30 children took part, they all did very well and were all presented with a certificate afterwards. Several of the children swam in excess of 40 lengths of the pool and it was difficult to get them out of the water as they enjoyed the event so much and realised the importance of the cause.
Steven Roberts was sponsored to swim for 1 mile in an open water course at the Royal Victoria Dock on the River Thames. This was both a triumph for Steven and London, since it meant that it was now possible to swim once again in the Thames, all be it under controlled conditions.
Sabrina Hill was sponsored for a 10k run in Tel Aviv, and Gabi Tenenblat took part in a 5k run in London. Both of these young ladies were motivated by a desire to help the hospital, by their efforts they inspired their friends to support them in this endeavour.
