Maccabi GB Community Fun Run – June 2018

This year once again UK Friends of Schneider Childrens Hospital took part in Maccabi Community Fun Run. The event was a huge success with thousands of people from the Jewish community taking part and helping to raise funds for 78 charities and schools. It is one of the largest Jewish events in the U.K. The Chief Rabbi attended and took time to walk around and learn about the different charities. 

This year a fantastic 2650 runners took part to either run, walk, hop, skip or dance their way around one of three distances 10k, 5k or 1k. and there were over 4,000 spectators cheering on from the stands. 

UK Friends of Schneider had 30 runners and many supporters. We are just waiting to confirm how much we raised on the day.

The weather was perfect, the atmosphere even better, and a great time was had by all. We were very proud to be part of the day and we look forward to taking part again next year to raise even more money.
